I was informed about a recent interview by Bode George in one of the national dailies and felt it necessary to clarify his claim that I begged him for forgiveness. I don’t know when and how I ever offended Mr.George. I have never wronged the man or even thought of it. I sought no forgiveness because no forgiveness was needed.

I think somehow he is still trying to implicate me as instigating the criminal proceedings once lodged against him. From my recollection, Mr. George was found guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction based on convincing evidence of wrongdoing. He insults the judiciary by implying that his conviction was wrongly derived.
Mr. George seeks to imbue me with more power than I could possibly have. I am flattered but in all humility I must protest the false assessment. If he can remember, the government of the day was that of the PDP. I have never had nor sought much influence in those circles. He was charged by the government ruled by his own party for an offence concerning financial irregularities at the Nigeria Port Authority, NPA, an appointment he received from that same government. It is an incredible tale indeed to state that somehow I could direct a party that tried to dismantle the progressive political structure of my party to bring down one of its key members.
The more plausible explanation for his legal tribulation was that a member of his own cabal blew the whistle on Mr. George’s antics for reasons that only he and that person truly know. The rest is now history.
I believe he was convicted of “ Invoice Splitting” a violation of financial regulations. This malpractice is a deliberate circumvention of the law so that the culprit may approval expenditures above his mandated authority to do so and without proper oversight.
In the end, it was Mr. George’s own hand and actions that led to his incarceration more than anything I could ever have done.
Mr. George claims the alleged apology was made at the burial of Chief Alao Arisekola. On that date, personalities such as Oba Otudeko and Governor Ajimobi approached me because I did not greet Mr. George initially. They pleaded that, in the memory of the man we were all gathered to honor, I should greet Mr. George. At their request, I turned back and came to greet him by saying “Good Afternoon Egbon”. That was all.
If Mr. George wishes to interpret that as an apology, he has the right to do so. I also have the right to state categorically that no apology was made or even intended.
I think he is trying to find a way to walk back from his election hyperbole that he would go on exile if the APC won the Lagos State governership election. He realizes that Lagos under the APC is a very good place to live afterall. If he wants to remain in Lagos, he does not have to manufacture an excuse or explain away his bad words. Neither the APC nor I have any aims against him. In the election, the people rejected his party and his brand of politics. That is enough for us. We move on to greater progress. We have no time or inclination to trouble ourselves by troubling Bode George. Any trouble he is experiencing is a product of his own mind.
Hian.....So who disguised as Jagaban to apologise to Bode George??
Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton who was due this past Saturday April 25th, was seen driving herself and her son Prince George and what appeared to be his nanny, Maria Borrallo, who was in the back seat, out of Buckingham palace with up to 5 bodyguards in tow.

They are eagerly awaiting the birth of the couple's 2nd child who is going to be 4th to the throne regardless of its sex.
At about 9 am yesterday morning, Kate and her Husband Prince Williams surprised the fans by sending members of staff from the royal household to personally deliver ten cups of coffee and two boxes containing four croissants, two Danish pastries, an apple turnover and fruit bun. The two boxes of pastries and croissants were wrapped in pink ribbon, leading those desperately awaiting the royal baby’s birth to speculate it could be a girl.

15 year old Ogun schoolgirl Precious Nwaigwe who was abducted and sold to Libya by her maternal cousin Kelvin Okorie said she felt betrayed by him.
Okorie who was arrested and and interrogated at the Police Command headquarters in Ikeja was paraded with his friend Ogbonna Njoku aka John. Okorie said he handed Precious over to Njoku's brother- Nzube Chukwu who was based in Libya but didn't know that they were going to sell her into the sex trade. He said he was told that Precious could finish her secondary education in Libya then earn money by working at a fuel station and send some of her money back home to help her parents and didn't know anything else other than that. Okorie said they went to Njoku's house in Alaba, got Njoku's brother's number and was given N10,000. Cut in for more stories...
Precious said on the day she was handed over to her pimp, she noticed Okorie arguing with his friends over money but never knew that the money was the cost of her slavery into the sex trade.
Okorie said he was only given N10,000 by his friend when he told him he was broke, he said they didn't have any discussion about Precious being trafficked for sex. The Police asked him if he got any consent from Precious's parents before he sent her to Libya but he said he didn't. They further asked him why he didn't tell her parents that he had sent her to Libya when her parents started to look for her if his intentions were innocent, but he said he didn't know why he didn't tell them.
Njoku however said he wasn't involved in the abduction, he said that Okorie, Precious and one of their friends Daniel asked him for his brother's number in Libya, he said he gave them the number and left hence was surprised when he got arrested by the police in regards to this crime. He admitted that he didn't know what happened to Precious until after his arrest.
Okorie said he lied to Precious that he told her mother about your journey to Libya which was apparently a lie. Njoku said he was never told by Njoku that Precious was declared missing by her parents and was innocent of the crime he had been accused of.
Both suspects will be arraigned shortly.
Precious was only allowed to return to Nigeria by the pimp after she had paid off the $6,000 the pimp had supposedly paid to Okorie and his goons to buy her.
Hundreds of decomposed bodies including those of women and children were discovered by a government committee in Damasak, northern Borno State this past weekend. The committee was set up by Governor Kashim Shettima to assess the level of destruction in towns
According to Daily Trust, the victims were suspected to have been killed by Boko Haram insurgents as they fled the town following an onslaught by Chadian forces to recapture the town. more stories after the cut......
Credible sources said decomposed bodies littered the streets while many others were discovered inside houses, shallow graves and rivers that have dried up on the onset of the dry season.
The committee spent the weekend recovering and burying remains of the victims under the watchful eyes of Chadian troops who sacked the insurgents from Damasak some weeks ago. Witnesses and government officials told Daily Trust that the insurgents carried out the massacre during their reign of terror that lasted several months in the fishing community. Senator-elect Borno North Senatorial District, Alhaji Abukakar Kyari, said there was "large scale atrocity" committed by the insurgents in Damasak and other towns and villages in northern part of Borno State.
However, Kyari denied suggestions that among the victims were some of the 500 children abducted by the militants a few months ago. It was said that the children were locked up in an Arabic school in Damasak and that they died of suffocation and hunger.
Kyari said: "I have full knowledge of what the committee did in Damasak and the fact is that there was nowhere that bodies of over 500 children was discovered. "Of course, many people have been killed but nobody or group brought all the dead bodies to one place.
" What really happened was that following the liberation of Damasak by Chadian and Nigerien forces and a visit by a committee that we set up, we again sent our people there on Saturday (25th April) and they worked assiduously in recovering many dead bodies.
"I cannot tell you the precise number of dead bodies but they are many. The people that went to Damasak divided themselves into various groups, recovered the bodies and buried them in various graves," he said.
Kyari said some bodies were recovered in Kareto and others in Damasak. He said preliminary investigations suggested that some of the fresh corpses were those of insurgents killed by Chadian and Niger Republic troops.
Community leaders have warned that civilians are still at risk, especially those returning to remote areas like Gujba where the military’s deployment has typically been thin. Many experts agree that Boko Haram is likely to transition from capturing and holding territory to reverting to a pattern of hit-and-run attacks. Analysts say boastings from regional armies should be treated with caution, as the Islamists are far from defeated and can easily regroup, especially if there is a let-up in the military pressure.
