JTE Gist: Mr. Eazi Becomes First African To Appear On Apple Music ‘Up Next Artiste’ Show
Singer, Mr Eazi is gradually championing the ‘Africa to the World’ music campaign as he becomes the first African artiste to appear on Apple Music’s Up Next artiste show.
The show which was recently launched in April is aimed at promoting new artistes in diaspora. Mr Eazi appeared on the live show which was streamed across the globe through the Apple platform on July 26th.
The recent rise of other African artistes including Wizkid, Davido, and Tekno, who have all signed global deals with Sony, has had the music business looking to Africa for the next breakout artistes, which Eazi would seem primed for.

JTE Gist: Young Man Commits Suicide After Talking About It On Facebook, Friends Thought He Was Joking (Photos)
A young man, identified as Mpanjilwa Mulwanda, has reportedly killed himself days after hinting about his death on Facebook.
He was found hanging dead on a tree on Tuesday as his Friends jokingly encouraged him to kill himself after he hinted that he was going to die by hanging.
In one post he said that he was going to die that very day while in another he justified his death saying the ultimate sacrifice is sacrificing oneself for the rest of humanity.
According to NationalHelm, reports are that Days earlier, the deceased who has been alleged to belong to a cult – posted a photo of himself and a hanging rope around his neck…
Few hours before, he updated his Facebook post to ‘Fin’
He was found hanged on a tree hours later with headsets still in his ears.
A Zambian Facebook user, Joseph Kamfwa called on the police to arrest those friends who encouraged him to take his his life.
He wrote:
“ZAMBIA POLICE
Do people a favor- arrest and question all those kids who were pushing their friend to commit suicide. They are as guilty as someone charged with 2nd degree murder. It’s high time Zambians learned limits to conversation”
