5 Brilliant Nigerian Artistes I Expected More From
By Unknown - Thursday, October 06, 2016
The Nigerian music industry has produced a vast number of artistes. Overtime, we’ve seen so many artistes come and ago. Some have built their legacy and made sure their names would never be forgotten. others had serenaded us with single hits and left the music scenes while others simply didn’t do enough to stand the test.
Below are 5 artistes we felt could have done much more with their careers than they did.
1. Wande Coal
He might have been unfortunate to have been affected with the breakup of Mohits at a time when his career was just picking up after the success of Mushin 2 Mohits. W Ceezy with the golden voice has just not done enough to match his career and often we wondered what could had been. By and large he remains one of the most gifted talents ace producer Don Jazzy has ever worked with and an extremely talented singer but the transition of his gift to proper stardom is something that just didn’t materialize.
2. Jesse Jagz
Jargo is one act that we refer to as jack of all master of none. The gifted other half of the Abaga brothers has so much in his arsenal that he just can’t find one to stick with. A master producer, a gifted rapper among other skills, jargo just hasn’t been up to par with his brother M.I . It’s not even for lack of gift rather its lack of efforts. He simply could have done better with his career.
3. Brymo
Another artiste from the chocolate city camp that wowed us with marvelous singing that only Brymo could. For his huge singing abilities his career is a good example of what one could be when there is talent without efforts. After his court case with Chocolate City he tried to pick up from where he stopped with his career but he just didn’t get there. Even he had to admit his career ended in 2013.
4. Chidinma
She rose to stardom after winning the third season of MTN Project Fame West Africa and every one took considerable interest with her. Since her debut song Kedike she has not really been up to par with her perceived talents and we cant help but feel disappointed. our golden girl simply flattered to deceive.
5. D’banj
He really shouldn’t be on this list considering his achievements but we most admit Eja Nla has had a stalled career since his breakup with his business partner and friend Don Jazzy. While his friend the Don has moved from the Mohits saga to create a dynasty with his SMD group and a bunch of exciting kids, Koko Master has hugely disappointed. the GOOD Music deal should have been a stepping stone but in his case it became the start of his downward spiral.
