INSURGENCY: BORNO GOVERNOR URGES MILITARY NOT TO SPARE ANYONE LINKED WITH BOKO HARAM
By Unknown - Friday, February 03, 2017
Borno state Governor Kashim Shettima wants the security forces to go after anyone with links to Boko Haram even if they are members of his immediate family. He said in a state wide broadcast that now that the military has denied the insurgents of the use of their former high command, residents should be more careful of their surroundings.
This according to him is because the recapture of Sambisa Forest does not mean that the struggle is over. Governor Shettima added that the Borno state Government will continue to provide necessary support for troops and other security agencies including volunteers in their effort to restore peace and security.
He also urged the People to be good citizens and contribute to efforts to fight insurgency.
