2017– Beyonce heads up nominees with seven nominations including Album of The Year and Best Female R&B/Pop Artist while Bruno Mars follows behind with 5 nominations that also includes Album of the Year.

Nigerian music acts Tekno, Wizkid, Davido and Mr. Eazi were all nominated for the BET Awards2017 for Best International Act:
Africa.Star Boy Wizkid emerged winner in the heavily contested category. The “Daddy Yo” crooner took home the award for a second time after he was declared winner in a pre-BET awards event.
