JTE GIST:Drake Breaks Another Billboard Hot 100 Record With “God’s Plan”
                          By Unknown - Tuesday, April 03, 2018
Earlier today (April 2), Billboard reported that the rapper's latest chart-topper, "God's Plan," had secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for its 10th consecutive week. This feat made Drizzy the very first male solo artist with two 10-week runs at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Before accomplishing this feat, the Toronto superstar's WizKid and Kyla-assisted 2016 single "One Dance" placed him alongside Elton John and Diddy as one of only three male solo acts with songs holding the No. 1 spot for their first 10 weeks on the chart. Now, Drizzy's set himself apart, as "God's Plan" has spent its first 10 weeks at No. 1, making it his second record to do so. Dope.

Drizzy's latest win is definitely impressive, but the fact that he's the first solo male act with a 10-week run atop the Billboard Hot 100 is just as big of a deal. Since 1997, the year in which John ("Candle in the Wind 1997"/"Something About the Way You Look Tonight") and Diddy  ("I'll Be Missing You") Drizzy is the only solo male performer to have a No.1 Hot 100 record live in the chart's top spot for 10 weeks.

"God's Plan" is one of two tracks released through Drizzy's Scary Hours EP, which dropped back in January. Sending the song further along the path to incredible commercial success was its video, which saw the 6 God bless the people of Miami with $1 million.
