Lumidy Turna (born Joshua Turna Lumi; 14th December 2003) is a Nigerian news carrier blogger, writer, entrepreneur and Actor. He is best known for his blog.

Early life and education

Lumidy was born and raised in a Christian family from Pankshin, Plateau State. He is the fourth child out of five. He began writing at the age of 13. He finished secondary school at the age of 13 and, at 15, enrolled at the University of

Jos, where he is studying Theatre and Film Arts. He started blogging as a hobby before later on turned it into passion.

Lumidys blog is apparently his biggest venture. Before graduation, Lumidy started blogging in 2014. He became an active blogger in 2015, using a blogger sub-domain lumidysblog.blogspot.com and later obtained his doimain www.lumidysblog.com.ng.

TV Network

On January 1st, 2018, on his blog, he announced the creation his online TV network, Lumidy TV alongside other brands he was establishing. Lumidy TV airs a variety of programmes ranging from talk shows, reality shows, Freestyle sessions, TV series to Movies. The Network both produces some of its programmes and also buys TV contents.

Controversies

Shut down of blog by Google

Lumidy's blog was shut down on 8 October 2017, but restored on 10 November 2017 around midnight by Google for undisclosed reasons. Kola Ogunlade, a Google correspondent, said: "We take violations of policies very seriously as such activities diminish the experience for our users. When we are notified of the existence of content that may violate our Terms of Service, we act quickly to review it and determine whether it actually violates our policies. If we determine that it does, we remove it immediately."
