Portuguese and Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly asked his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez to marry him.

Portugal’s best-selling newspaper Correio da Manha confirmed the engagement and revealed that the Spanish beauty said ‘Yes’ and has started trying on wedding dresses.

This comes after the couple who have a one-year-old daughter Alana Martina were pictured wearing matching new Cartier rings during their recent romantic dinner in London.

Correio da Manha, referring to Georgina by her nickname Gio, quoted a source as saying: 'Cristiano has already asked Gio to marry him and the wedding will take place, but few people know the details. All that is known at the moment is that Gio has already tried on some wedding dresses.'

Earlier this year Ronaldo's mum called Georgina her future daughter-in-law in a magazine interview about her son’s love life.

He said: 'She is the mother of my grand-daughter. She is a future daughter-in-law. She’s not my daughter-in-law yet. She’s a future daughter-in-law. She’s a very calm person.'

Belgium and Manchester United midfielder, Marouane Fellaini, has left many stunned online after he cut off his curly locks which has been a trademark of his appearance since moving to the Premier League 10-years-ago.

The 30-year-old footballer took to his social media accounts to show off a new haircut ahead of his birthday and he looked unrecognizable.

Premiership club, Chelsea is facing a potential two-year transfer ban following a long FIFA investigation into the signing of Bertrand Traore and 13 other young players.

According to French online news site Mediapart, one of the organisations publishing the findings of Football Leaks, the unit recommends Chelsea is punished with a fine of £45,000 and an embargo on all signings to cover a total of four transfer windows.

The publication reported that one window relates to Traore and the other three windows involve the 13 other alleged offences.

It was also revealed that officials from FIFA's Integrity and Compliance unit have spent three years investigating  Traore's transfer case and 13 other transfers involving the London club and players aged under 18.

The Burkina Faso international who signed his first professional contract in September 2013 after his 18th birthday was picked at the age of 16 in an Under 18 match against Arsenal.

Mediapart also claimed that the football governing body has found evidence to suggest Chelsea misled them regarding the real dates and acted in bad faith over the signing of Traore who officially joined the club in the January 2014 transfer window.

Chelsea on Wednesday night said: 'The club has fully co-operated with FIFA and has provided comprehensive evidence demonstrating its compliance with FIFA regulations. We will not comment further.'

A FIFA spokesman added: 'Investigations were opened concerning Chelsea as well as other English clubs. No further information can be provided.'

What's the rumour?

Barcelona have long been linked with Paris Saint-Germain's Adrien Rabiot, who has also caught the eye of several other European top dogs.

However, a report from Diario Gol now claims that Real Madrid have also entered the fray and might even make a move to hijack Barcelona's target.

If the aforementioned report is to be believed, Los Blancos are willing to cough up an amount as high as €70 million to secure the services of the Frenchman whereas Barcelona are reluctant to fork out €50 million for a player who they could sign for free next summer.

Adrien Rabiot reportedly declined an offer to sign a contract extension with the Parisian club a few days back, which has alerted a number of high-profile clubs, who have set their sights on the talented 23-year-old.

His current contract with PSG runs out in June next year.

The heart of the matter

Adrien Rabiot has emerged as a hot property this summer owing to his consistent showings for Les Parisiens in the seasons gone by. Recently, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel also expressed uncertainty over the France international's future at Parc des Princes despite stating that he wanted him to stay at the club.

I'm not certain he will stay. I want him to stay, but it's up to him. He has great potential and can improve even further. He can become a top player but has to stay with us.

Rabiot would be a fine addition to Real Madrid's squad, particularly following the departure of Mateo Kovacic to Chelsea on a season-long deal. He is an excellent passer of the ball who exudes great confidence when in possession. Besides, Rabiot is also well-known for his offensive contributions as well as defensive stability.
