Fast rising Nigerian celebrity, L.A.X turned a year older today April 11, 2015.

L.A.X is one of the recording artists signed on Wizkid's popular label, Starboy. L.A.X is a Masters Degree holder and one of the sons of the Chief Executive Officer of Sifax Group, Taiwo Afolabi.

Born Damilola Afolabi, L.A.X was born in Lagos in 1993 and is the son of Taiwo Afolabi, the billionaire boss of Sifax Group which boasts a number of companies in diverse areas of the Nigerian economy. He attended the Turkish International School, Lagos and started getting involved in music as a rapper several years ago when he was part of a three-member group called ‘Flyboiz’ and together they released a single titled ‘Busy Body.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has decided to comfort Nollywood filmmaker,Katung Aduwak and his wife with a 1-month old puppy.

This is coming hours after the filmmaker took to his Instagram to announce the death of his third dog while blaming popular pet store, Pet Planet Nigeria.

In her words, "@katung_aduwak I HAVE A GIFT FOR YOUR WIFE. It can't replace your loss but it sure will comfort you and keep MILA CLOSE TO YOUR Heart.. He is 1month and 3weeks old,He is a lasha. His mother is my best friend and 1st Dog MUZIK."

Appreciating Tonto's gesture, Aduwak wrote, " @tontolet there is no wonder why your light shines so bright...I will tell of ur goodness on the mountain tops.u know what it means to have no loose."

The All Progressives Congress heavyweights were pictured earlier today getting accredited at their various wards across the states, and most of them by accompanied by their wives.

President-elect Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, were accredited to vote At Sarkin-Yara Ward in Daura, Katsina State at about 8.27am.

Nigeria's Vice President-to-be, Professor Yemi Osunbajo and wife, Dolapo, were also seen around 10.21 am getting accredited at their polling unit (PU240804033) at Victoria Garden City in the Lekki, Lagos.

Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola and wife, Abimbola, were also spotted performing their civic duty in Lagos this morning at their polling unit in Surulere.

Also pictured at their polling unit were former FCT Minister, Nasir Elrufai and wife, Hadiza.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of planning to rig the Lagos State governorship elections.

The APC stated further that President Goodluck Jonathan arrived unannounced in the state on 

 Thursday, April 9, 2015, in order to spearhead the plot.

The comments were made by APC National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed in a statement released on Friday, April 10.

Mohammed also said that Jonathan held a closed-door meeting with PDP governorship candidate,  Jimi Agbaje, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs II, Musiliu Obanikoro and the National Coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Gani Adams in order to achieve the aim.

The statement reads:

“The meeting in Lagos was aimed at devising a strategy to distribute the fake result sheets that were packed into the SUV, which will be free to move around (because of its plate number) despite the restriction on vehicular movement during the elections.”

“It is sad that the same President, who conceded defeat in the presidential election and then followed up with a speech in which he said he would like his ‘legacy’ of free and fair elections to endure, is the one who is presiding over a desperate move to steal the people’s votes on Saturday.”

“How can President Jonathan’s ‘legacy’ endure when one of his last acts in office is a seeming vengeance mission to lead his party to capture Lagos, because the PDP sees the state as a cash cow that they can milk to death, with the party’s gravy train at the federal level having derailed?”

“Lagosians, please come out en masse on Saturday and vote in a peaceful manner for a candidate of your choice. Say no to coercion, defend your votes and repudiate all architects of divisiveness and rigging.”

The PDP however dismissed has however dismissed the allegations of rigging levelled against it saying that the APC was only afraid of being defeated at the polls.
