Lekki is one of Lagos' posh places where the poshness is evident in all aspects of their lives, except their terrible electricity of course.

This is why it is no surprise that going to some polling units meant going for refreshments.

There are lots of ice-cream and other refreshments to go with as people waited to cast their vote and decide their next leaders and representatives.

A similar case was reported during the Presidential elections. Also, in Magodo, there were reports of people coming to their polling units with grill sets where they made barbeques for people who turned up to vote, regardless of party affiliation.

Voting and accreditation went on peacefully in these polling units.

Perhaps, there's a correlation between food and peaceful elections?
