The Taraba State Government is pressing on with its staff bio-metric and verification exercise. This according to the Permanent Secretary for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Taraba state Bello Yero is because of pervasive corruption at the Local Government level. He told journalists that all sorts of corrupt practices were perpetrated through wages and salaries.
Issues of salary delay has continued to be a thing of worry in the state. In an attempt to correct the abnormalities, the State Government began staff biometric and verification exercise to correct the decay system.
The exercise showed that some top Local Government staff are behind the delayed payments of Local Government staff.
