Lalong enjoins women to be worthy ambassadors.

Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong at the weekend assured the people of government 's commitment to the yearnings of the people as the government continues to enact policies that engenders peaceful coexistence.
Gov Lalong stated this in Gwafan where he made a surprise appearance at the Catholic women's choir competition at The St Moriss Catholic church, Kunye Katse in Jos East local government area.
He enjoined them to be worthy ambassadors of Christ and pray for the peace of the State.
He further described women as the backbone of the nation.
Speaking earlier on behalf of the women, the leader of the women's fellowship Mrs Roda Dennis expressed delight for the Governor's surprise appearance as they prayed for the success of the rescue administration.
She said the women's fellowship choir competition under the parish of St Gabriel's Catholic church Rikkos is an annual event which brings women from the zone together.
Governor Simon Lalong later donated a cash prize for the winners which elicited great jubilation
