NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA, (NYCN).

Pursuant to the heat garnared by a sinister group who curiously intended to extend the stay of the former EXCO in office for another four years as a so-called "caretaker committee" through attempts to swindle the general public by holding an illegal and alternative congress to produce a parallel body to the dismay of the FG,  the Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports Development yesterday, Friday, August 17, 2018 (kindly refer), released a "PUBLIC NOTICE" to affirm the final resolution of the Ministry to recognize and uphold the Ambassador Dickson Akoh-led congress held between July 19-25, 2018 in Gombe State where the Honorable Minister, Barr. Solomon S. Dalung was personally available for 2 days to witness the event, along with senior officials from the ministry and the Government of Gombe State as His Excellency, Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, OFR declared the congress open and to affirm its credibility.

2) It is in line with the publication on THE PUNCH and DAILY TRUST newspapers of Friday, August 17, 2018 that we wish to further make public, the statement of the Ministry as a supreme confirmation and indoctrination of the guiding laws declaring the current leadership of the NYCN as sacrosanct and binding under the federal laws.

3) We wish to once again, congratulate the leadership of Comrade Bello Bala Shagari and other duly elected officials for scaling through this short turmoil which indicates the fact that the truth shall always prevail.

4) Henceforth, we wish to likewise make it known that the EXCO intends to make paramount and effective contributions to the plights of the Nigerian youths across board without an iota of reluctance or liable distractions as this publication has finally put to rest, all controversies surrounding the legitimacy of both the exercise and the true elected officials.
