The time has come to start taking your blog seriously! Once you sort out your blog design, you should start thinking about achieving the best SEO score possible. Let me tell you how you can optimize your posts to bring you the best SEO results in 6 easy steps.
- Research. Find out what people are looking for online and how your potential readers might be able to find you through keywords. The Google Adwords Keyword Tool and semrush.com both offer great tools that allow you to find keywords related to your topic.
- Use keywords throughout your posts. Once you decide which keywords you’d like to use- make sure to place them where they will make the most impact, for example:• Your Post Title
• Your Paragraph Subheadings
• Within the first few sentences of your blog post
• Meta Description
• Anchor text - Use helpful plugins. If you’re on WordPress, you can install some helpful plugins that will allow you to make things easier when it comes to SEO optimising your posts. My absolute favourite is YOAST Seo Plugin.
- Use social media. All of our blog design templates have sharing buttons enabled for a reason- they help you spread out a word about your blog faster. Make sure to also register on some of the popular social media outlets out there & keep publishing your content on there too.
- Optimise your images. Use SEO rich titles & alternative text for your images. We live in an extremely visual age, so you have to make sure your images are marked correctly!
- Be active. Make sure to consistently post engaging content with your readers & be active. Reply to your comments, engage on social media & try to get a few guest blogging gigs!
