US rapper DMX has being accused by a New Jersey man of robbery. According to reports DMX and his entourage are being investigated by robbery claims made by a 21 year old who claims he was robbed at a gas station early Sunday morning.

According to Complex, the 21-year-old man told Newark police that he recognized DMX at an Exxon station just after midnight. The two started to have a conversation about music. Shortly after, a member of DMX’s entourage pulled out a gun and demanded the man give him his money. When he followed instructions – pulling a large amount of cash from his pocket – allegedly DMX took the money and fled in a group of four Black Escalades.

Newark Police spokesman Ronald Glover says DMX and his crew stole about $3,200. While the man was able to follow them and get one of the vehicle’s license plates, there have been no arrests made in the ongoing investigation. However, DMX was in Newark, confirmed by yesterday’s tweet, in which he performed with several other rappers at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

DMX has had several run-ins with the law. In 2013, he was arrested four times in South Carolina for charges such as possession of marijuana, driving without a valid license and driving under the influence.
