The NSA also stated, on Tuesday, April 14, that the Federal Government was making efforts to ensure the rescue of the abducted Chibok girls.
National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki has said that the Nigerian military will capture Sambisa Forest, a Boko Haram stronghold in Borno State, before the May 29, 2015 presidential handover.
The NSA also stated, on Tuesday, April 14, that the Federal Government was making efforts to ensure the rescue of the abducted Chibok girls.
According to Dasuki, Sambisa Forest is the only terrorist camp which has not been decimated.
“Right now, all Boko Haram camps, except Sambisa Forest have been destroyed,” the NSA said.
“Every movement of the terrorists is being monitored and every necessary detail is being taken care of to rid the country of the last bastion of terrorists’ infestation,” he added.
Dasuki also stated that the government was making efforts to rescue all the other persons who had been abducted by the sect.
The over 200 Chibok girls were abducted from their school in Borno State on April 14, 2014, one year ago, and most of them remain incaptivity.
