Yesterday, April 13, 2015, soul diva Omawumi held her baby shower. The gathering saw her friends and associates from the entertainment industry celebrate the pending birth of Omawumi's second child.

Celebrities who turned up at the baby shower were her best friend Waje, Tiwa Savage, Toke Makinwa, Toolz, Toju Foyeh, Chi Gurl, Damilola Adegbite, Andrea Giaccaglia, Kunbi Oyelese, and Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi.

Others include Muna, Lami Phillips, Ufuoma Ejenobor, Sasha P, Latasha Ngwube, and Freda Francis.

The baby shower took place at the Presidential Suite of the Intercontinental Hotel, a day before her birthday.

On her Instagram page today, April 13, she wrote a message thanking her friends for the surprise birthday party that made her cry, thanking her husband, and acknowledging God's blessing in her life. You can read the message below;

"Lying in bed after my friends threw a surprise Baby Shower for me... Today is the first day that i've had a surprise anything cos i always bully my friends that i dont like Surprise parties! Guess what happened? I cried like a baby! I felt(still feel) so loved!!! Thanx to all my friends who made this surprise happen! Thanx so much for the love, i selected my friends well! Different personalities, beautiful inside out, and real lovers of God. Thanx so much to my Lover, my Husband... I dont know where to start singing your praises! I can only Thank God for showing you where to find me, i love you to infinity... Its my Birthday in some minutes, I stand in Awe of The Great and Mighty Creator for making me a testimony. Omawumi will be holding her traditional wedding ceremony to Tosin Yusuf on April 18, in Warri, Delta.
